Miley Cyrus: 'If you want to criticise me, don't do it anonymously on your computer'

'We Can't Stop' hitmaker Miley Cyrus has slammed people who criticise her in a cowardly manner.

During an interview with Alan Carr on his 'Chatty Man' talkshow, the superstar explained that she's tired of people hiding behind computers and sending her anonymous hatemail, and would prefer if they just committed to the abuse and sent their names with it.

Referring to the backlash she experienced following her risqué set at the VMAs, Cyrus said that it took a lot of guts for her to pull out a performance like that and she was hurt to think people hit the web to bash her for it:

"I think it takes a lot of courage to go out and do what I did. But all the people who like to talk about it, they're sitting behind their computers anonymously saying what they want to say, and I obviously say and do what I fell in front of everybody, so I kind of expect the same respect."

"If you're about to say something about me, say it to my face or say it with your name on it, don't say it behind my back or sit behind your computer."
