Miley Cyrus hosts Saturday Night Live

Miley Cyrus hosted, performed and took part in comedy skits on Saturday Night live yesterday (October 5).

As part of her hosting duties Miley gave a monologue in which she stated there would be no twerking on the show as “now that white people are doing it, it seems kind of lame.”

Cyrus also joked about the backlash to her performance at this year’s VMAs and gave an update on her former Disney character, Hannah Montana, saying: “She was murdered.”

Miley also starred in a parody of her own video ‘We Can’t Stop’ as Michelle Bachmann which was renamed ‘We Did Stop’ as a comment on the American government shutdown. She also played Hilary Clinton and a high school student who is a fan of hip hop in two other separate sketches.

The 20-year-old singer also performed ‘Wrecking Ball’ live as well as an acoustic version of ‘We Can’t Stop’.
