Miley Cyrus praises Katy Perry for being supportive

'We Can't Stop' sensation Miley Cyrus has revealed that she's grateful to pop superstar Katy Perry and rapper Kanye West for giving her support through a difficult period in her growing career.

Speaking about having the respect of other well-established artists, the beauty admitted that it's important and knowing there are other stars who have her back is reassuring as she has been through the best and the worst recently:

"The support of other artists is important because there are not many people who can relate to what I'm going through right now. Kanye West is one of those people, and even Katy Perry has been so cool."

She added: "It's easy for Kanye to support me because we’re in totally separate lanes of competition, but for Katy to say that she appreciates what I'm really doing for the pop industry, that keeps you going. And I mean, who cares what the media buzz is if Kanye West is telling you that you're the sh*t?"

Cyrus, meanwhile, has been confirmed to perform at the 2013 MTV EMAs, which is set to take place in Amsterdam on November 10.
