Muse score midweek UK No.1 album with 'Drones'

Rock trio Muse are currently on course to land a fifth chart-topping album on home soil this weekend with their new record, 'Drones'.

The Official Charts Company has confirmed that the album is currently outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined and, if its sales momentum continues into the weekend, it will become one of the fastest selling albums of the year so far.

Florence + The Machine’s 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful' has dropped one place to No.2, Leftfield's first full-length studio album in 16 years 'Alternative Light Source' has made an appearance at No.3, and Of Monsters & Men are set for a second Top 5 album with Beneath The Skin at No.4.

Brit rockers Young Guns are set to score their highest charting album to date with 'Ones And Zeros', which has debuted at No.11, and Glenn Miller’s 'The Very Best Of' is on course to re-enter the Top 40 for the first time in nearly five years this weekend as it has landed at No.20.
