Muse are on course to bag their first No.1 album in the US.

The British rock trio released their latest effort 'Drones' this week.

It was confirmed to be leading the pack in their native UK on Wednesday (June 10) as it outsold the top five combined.

Billboard have revealed that they expect 'Drones' to sell 75,000 copies in its first week in the States.

This means that it should ensure Muse's first ever No.1 record in the US.

The band's previous effort 'The 2nd Law', which was released in 2012, reached No.2 in the country.
