Furtado releasing 'Best Of' album

Nelly Furtado has announced the release of her first greatest hits album.

'The Best Of Nelly Furtado' features the biggest hits from the Canadian singer-songwriter and producer's decade-spanning career, as well as three new songs. The thumping electro-pop production marks her mainstream return after last year's Spanish language album 'Mia Plan', which she won a Latin Grammy nomination for 'Best Female Pop Vocal Album'.

The LP's first single, 'What You Want to Do (Night Is Young),' was co-written by Furtado with Salaam Remi and Staybent Krunk-A-Delic. A-Delic also produced the track. In it Furtado sings, "The night is young and so are we / we can be anyone we wanna, baby / 'cause we are free, free, free."

Furtado has released four studio albums since making her chart debut in 2000 with 'Woah, Nelly!' She has had nine UK top ten hits in that time with songs including 'I'm Like A Bird', 'Maneater' and a duet with James Morrison duet 'Broken Strings'.

'The Best Of Nelly Furtado' is set to be released in the UK on November 15.
