The singer describes her album, which is due for release in 2011, as a “mixed bag of sorts”.

On her singing, Furtado told ‘The Canadian Press’ during a visit to Toronto this week:

"The singing, I think, has improved as a result of my Spanish language album and that experience.”

She added: “I'm singing with a lot more passion and, kind of, I don't know, trying to find new terrain again of some kind.”

Furtado recently made her debut on the silver screen in ‘Score: A Hockey Musical’ but insisted she will return to her day job as a pop star.
