Rapper Nicki Minaj has confirmed that she will drop a brand new single on Wednesday, May 21 and it's called 'Pills N Potions' (artwork pictured left). 

Speaking to reporters at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas last night, the superstar gave fans a taste of what the track sounds like:

"I can't wait for people to hear it. It sounds like urgency, it sounds like betrayal, it sounds like running, it sounds like fainting, it sounds like love."

Back in April, Minaj told reporters that her forthcoming new album 'The Pink Print' will hear her return to her 'hip-hop roots' and while that wasn't a conscious decision, it just seems to be where her new music has been going lately:

"The tracks on 'The Pink Print' are back to my hip-hop roots. And I don't think it's something that I'm necessarily trying to do. As soon as I started working on my new album, that's just the songs that I've been writing."
