Nicki Minaj: 'My old high school's principal declined my offer to talk to current students'

Rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed that she recently reached out to the principal of her old high school and offered to return for a special talk, which she hoped would inspire current students, but he turned down the opportunity.

Writing on her official Twitter page earlier today (September 12), the superstar explained that she's incredibly disappointed at not being allowed to speak to the young people attending the school:

"I wanted to go back to my HS and speak to the students but the new principal declined."

She went onto add that it's such a shame to think that the school's head would actively deprive her student body of such an experience: "No need for me to inspire them, I guess. Smh. I guess I'm not good enough."

She added that the female principal didn't give a specific reason for declining her offer, but she's really sad that she won't be able to have that moment with the students: "That school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now. I was really looking forward to it."
