Nicki Minaj accepts Taylor Swift VMA apology: 'I've always loved her'

Nicki Minaj has accepted Taylor Swift's apology after she assumed a tweet sent by the 'Super Bass' star was directed at her.

The US star recently took to Twitter to express her frustration at how her 'Anaconda' promo clip had been overlooked in the main MTV VMA nominations.

She concluded: "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."

Swift took this as a dig at her, with the singer saying that she has done "nothing but love and support you". She later apologised for assuming the tweet as about her.

Minaj has now accepted the apology, writing on Twitter:

"That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13."

Responding to a fan about the '1989' star, the rapper added:

"I've always loved her. Everyone makes mistakes. She gained so much more respect from me. Let's move on."
