Nicki Minaj has played down suggestion that she didn't enjoy seeing Jennifer Lopez cover 'Anaconda' at the American Music Awards.

The annual ceremony was hosted by Lopez on Sunday (November 22).

Part of her routine was to perform a medley of recent hits - and Minaj's 'Anaconda' was included.

However, the camera shot to the rapper during the slot and many believed she was giving Lopez some shade.

Speaking on Twitter after the show, Minaj denied disliking the cover.

She said: "lol says what all? I'm looking at my own face on the screen when I'm looking to the right. I turn Bak & look @ her."

Minaj meanawhile won two awards on the night.

She picked up Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Artist and Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Album for 'The Pinkprint'.
