Nicki Minaj has been announced as a special guest for this summer's BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend event.

The superstar will perform on the Saturday (June 23), warming up the stage for headliner Jay-Z.

Minaj joins an all-star line-up that includes the likes of Rihanna, Jessie J and will.i.am.

They will also be joined by Florence + The Machine, Kasabian and Leona Lewis, amongst others.

It is set to be Minaj's first UK performance of the summer, with the rapper playing T in the Park and Wireless in July.
