Nicki Minaj unveils unseen footage from 'Pound The Alarm' video shoot

Rap superstar Nicki Minaj has unveiled exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from her forthcoming music video for 'Pound The Alarm'.

This exciting new teaser clip shows the hitmaker getting emotional in her birthplace of Trinidad and Tobago and being welcomed by a screaming crowd at the airport. She can be heard saying to the camera: "I never thought in a million years I would ever do this."

Througout this afternoon, Minaj has been answering fans' questions on social networking site Twitter about the video and revealed that the message behind it is 'there's no place like home'.

One of her followers asked her to define the best part of the full music video, which hasn't yet been given a premiere date, and she teased that she loves "a freaky part u haven't seen yet".

The full cut looks incredibly colourful and she admitted she wanted to film it in her hometown because "the instruments in the chorus remind me of carnival!"
