'Super Bass' superstar Nicki Minaj has revealed that despite persistent press rumours and the fact that early on in her career she claimed to be bisexual her sexual orientation is straight and she has no attraction to women.

Speaking to the Rolling Stone, the beauty explained how she is often misquoted or presumed to be bisexual and she wanted to clear up the gossip once and for all: "I think girls are sexy. But I'm not going to lie and say that I date girls."

During the new interview, Minaj also opened up about her painful childhood and admitted that she used to "pray" for money so she could help out her mother:

"When I first came to America. I would go in my room and and kneel down at the foot of my bed and pray that god would make me rich so that I could take care of my mother."

Referring to her father, who was a violent drug addict, she added: "It's the price you pay when you abuse drugs and alcohol. Maybe one day your daughter will be famous and talk to every magazine about it, so think about that, dads out there who want to be crazy."
