Nicole Scherzinger on being shy: 'It's a secret weapon'

Superstar Nicole Scherzinger has opened up about being shy and confessed that while many may see it as something that holds people back, she thinks it's great because she is very poised and quietly focused, which means her impact is bigger when she comes out of her shell. 

Speaking to the new UK issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, the 'Poison' songstress explained that being shy is actually a trait that can be a 'girl's secret weapon':

"I get past my shyness by making everything about others and not thinking about myself. That's what I did on 'The X Factor' - I can be goofy and playful when it's about the acts. They are like my babies. But when I'm offstage I'm not as big and animated."

"Shy girls are a secret weapon. You don't see them coming but they're focused. Sure, sometimes I'm a puddle of emotions but that's OK because I'm brewing something. Something's coming, you just don't know when. But it's coming..."
