Nicole Scherzinger praises Sam Smith: 'I had many dates with his album and a glass of wine'

Hitmaker and 'X Factor' judge Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that she absolutely loves Sam Smith's debut album, named 'In The Lonely Hour', and has listened to it many times with a glass of wine.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Scherzinger explained that Smith's record is therapeutic: "He did a spectacular job of cutting straight to the heartstrings. I had many dates with the album on and a glass of wine. There's this unbelievable cry but strength at the same time. That's what I'm aiming for."

Scherzinger also opened up about her own new album, adding that it will be relatable to anyone who has ever suffered a broken heart:

"This album is about the woman I am, the women I'm not and the woman I want to be. There's a lot of stuff on my album girls can relate to. You gotta be in the slums and have a broken heart, that's when music transports you and heals."
