Nicole Scherzinger: 'My new album was heavily inspired by my break-up'

Songstress Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that her new album, which is called 'Big Fat Lie', was inspired by her brief split from racing driver Lewis Hamilton.

The record is due to be officially released on Monday, Octobr 20, and the beauty told London's Metro newspaper that heartbreak is a great subject for songwriting and it just so happened that she was going through a tough break-up around the time she was working on new material:

"I wrote the majority of this album last year when I was going through my break-up. But it’s about past relationships as well."

"I feel more confident as a woman now and being able to talk about the s*** that I haven’t talked about before."

When asked if there's any pressure to get married now that she has reconciled with Hamilton, she added: "I don’t put any pressure on anything. For me, timing is everything. I have a strong faith. And if you ask if my mom’s putting pressure on us to get married, no – because my mom is feeling as strong a faith as me."
