Nicole Scherzinger has admitted that she is incredibly lonely following her split from Lewis Hamilton.

The celebrity pair had dated for a number of years but their breakup was confirmed at the start of July.

Scherzinger is currently in the UK filming the new series of TV talent show X Factor and it seems she is marooned in a country without any friends. The 'Boomerang' star told The Sun:

"I don’t have anyone here, I don’t have my family, I don’t even have any friends here. My publicist is my closest friend."

She added: “It gets lonely but I’m working all the time. You just make those sacrifices and they made me feel so at home last year. It is hard but you always make those sacrifices and it’s worth it."

Scherzinger meanwhile has been joined on the X Factor judging panel this year by the returning Sharon Osbourne.
