Nine Inch Nails to release new single

Nine Inch Nails will unveil a new song this week.

The iconic US industrial electronic band will unleash the track 'Came Back Haunted' on Thursday (June 6).

It will be released to radio in America the morning and fans should expect echoes of the group's early material.

KROQ musical director Lisa Worden said of the track: "I think it’s in line with the first two albums. It’s got a great beat, it’s not the experimental material Trent’s done in the last five years."

She added: "I wouldn’t say that it’s dance-y, but it does have a great beat, a groove. Trent [Reznor] really brought it with this song. It’s going to sound amazing to new fans and old. It’s just cool."

Nine Inch Nails meanwhile have been busy working in secret on a new album, which will be their first since 2008's 'The Slip'.

The band's new line-up includes the likes of King Crimson's Adrian Belew and longtime collaborator Robin Finck.
