Noel Gallagher wants to record Bond theme: 'I'd do it in a heartbeat'

Oasis star Noel Gallagher has revealed that he would absolutely love to record a theme song for a James Bond movie because it's such an honour.

Speaking to NME shortly after it was announced that Sam Smith has recorded the theme song for the new Bond film 'Spectre', the musician explained that he would jump at the chance to do that in the future:

"If I was asked. F***ing too right. I'd record a Bond theme in a heartbeat. But they usually want people who are famous in America, don't they? I'm only famous in Manchester. And bits of south London."

Sam Smith has written the new theme, a song called 'Writing's On The Wall', and recently confessed that it took him just 20 minutes to complete the track: "I got called into the office with [producer] Barbara Broccoli and [director] Sam Mendes and they gave me the script, I read the script...they said 'have a go at the song'. It's the quickest I've ever written a song - it took 20 minutes...and they loved it! I love the song so much."
