Noel Gallagher on Oasis reunion: 'One should never say never'

Noel Gallagher has suggested that Oasis would only reunite for a lot of money.

The band broke up in 2009 after a heated fall-out between brothers Noel and Liam before a gig in Paris.

Speaking to Chris Moyles on the first broadcast of new station Radio X today (September 21), Gallagher said he isn't looking to reunite the band at the moment - but he refused to rule out the possibility.

The musician said: "I'm sure there are countless, thousands of people who would love it [an Oasis reunion] but there's one that wouldn't - me.

''I do say, 'We were together for 20 years, if you didn't see us, tough'...I didn't get to see the Sex Pistols.

"[It probably won't happen] in the very near future. One should never say never though, when someone's waving a cheque for a quarter of a billion."
