Noel Gallagher on Adele: 'It's music for f***ing grannies'

Noel Gallagher has compared Adele's music to a 'sea of cheese' and that it is only suitable for 'f***ing grannies'.

Speaking to Music Feeds, the Australian website, Gallagher said: "'If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I'll f***ing tell them... I just don't see what all the fuss is about. I don't like her music. I think it's music for f***ing grannies...'

Adele broke Oasis' record for the fastest-selling album in UK chart history when she released her third album, '25', beating 'Be Here Now' which was released in 1997.

Gallagher branded Adele's musical style as a 'sea of cheese' and complained that music industry had 'nosedived into f***ing blandness'. He continued:

"It is interesting that no-one ever talks about my love of U2 and Coldplay, but there you go. Lately, the one I've been asked about is Adele.'

Gallagher is famous for not biting his tongue, he recently told Esquire Magazine that fame was 'wasted on these c***s today'.

Previously, Gallagher said that One Directions' Harry Styles lacked 'star quality' and that Zayn Malik 'was a f***king indiot' to leave the band.

The Flying Birds' leader also talked about why bands who are hugely successful still tour, he said: "

Look at bands like U2 and The Rolling Stones. They’ve been around forever. People always ask, “Why do they do it? They don’t need the fucking money!” They do it because they love doing it. A song that wasn’t written yesterday will be written today – and one day it’ll be sung by some fucker somewhere and thousands of people in a stadium will sing along. That, in itself, is a really special thing.

"In light of the things that have gone on in Paris recently, it makes it even more special. These fucking animals are trying to take that shit away from us. They hate musicians. They hate women. They hate music. That’s all I love. It’s even more important to put more music out there in the world – to protest that, to counter that. That’s the way I see it."
