Noel Gallagher dismisses Bond rumours, calls the story "bizarre"

Noel Gallagher has addressed the recent rumours that suggest he has been chosen to record the theme for the new Bond film and slammed them as "bizarre".

The High Flying Birds superstar, according to tabloid reports, was handpicked to write and record the next Bond theme for 'Skyfall' but he has now taken to his official blog to dismiss the speculation:

"Now, I don't know whether you've seen a story that's doing the rounds about me being offered the job of penning the tune for the new James Bond film? Apparently I'm being courted by '007 bosses'!!!!! A meeting will be 'taking place in the next few days'!!!! With some guy called 'Michael G. Wilson' (whoever he is)!!!"

"A 'source' says, 'nothing has been signed or made official'!!!! Of course it f**kin' hasn't!!!!!! Who IS this f**kin' 'source'? Has he been on the 'sauce'(alcohol)? Bizarre indeed."

The story broke after Gallagher said in a recent interview that his 2008 track 'Freaky Teeth' would be fitting for a 007 project. Watch him perform the song below:
