Noel Gallagher rules out Oasis reunion in 2014

Noel Gallagher has rubbished rumours that he is planning on reforming Oasis next year in honour of the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’.

Noel’s brother Liam Gallagher got fans buzzing back in June when he told NME that the pair may be able to “bury the hatchet for a quick lap of honour,” adding that the band had “unfinished business”.

But Noel has doused the sparks Liam lit in a recent interview on Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy’s talkSPORT radio show, replying to the idea with “No, it definitely won’t happen.”

However, he did confirm that the reunion could happen one day, just not any time soon.

"Look, who knows what would happen in, like, 20 years but 20 years from now, I'd be… 60. I mean, really, hopefully I'll end up retired by then," he said.
