Noel Gallagher denies Damon Albarn collaboration rumours

Noel Gallagher has put a stop to rumours that he will be collaborating with Damon Albarn.

Despite previous claims made by Albarn’s Blur band mate Alex James that the pair are “like best mates” and “working together on a lot of stuff”, Gallagher has denied any knowledge of such “stuff”.

Speaking to talkSPORT radio Gallagher stated: “I read that Alex James said that - [but] it's news to me!”

However the rival Brit pop icons did team up earlier this year to perform together at a Teenage Cancer Trust show in March.

Although he denied working on material with Damon Albarn, the ex-Oasis star confirmed that he has been busy with the a new Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds album.

Gallagher explained: “I've got tons of songs left over from the last one. I'm writing, putting stuff together. Yeah, I'll definitely make another one, that's for sure.”

Another piece of gossip that Noel Gallagher had to recently refute was plans for a 2014 Oasis reunion.
