Former Kaiser Chiefs man Nick Hodgson writes for Olly Murs

Ex-Kaiser Chiefs man Nick Hodgson has revealed that he has been writing material for Olly Murs' next album.

The drummer, who also contributed vocals and lyrics to the indie group, quit the Kaiser Chiefs in 2012.

However, he told the Daily Star that he created a song with Murs' team after being introduced by The Ordinary Boys' Preston.

Hodgson, who now acts as a songwriter and producer, said: "I’ve known Preston since the Kaisers supported The Ordinary Boys when we started out. He phoned to see if I fancied writing with them, and it was an interesting idea.

“We got a great song out of it. I hadn’t met him before, but I liked Olly a lot."

Murs' last album meanwhile came in the shape of 2012's 'Right Place Right Time'.
