Olly Murs slams Taylor Swift for writing songs about Harry Styles: 'Let it go'

British singer Olly Murs has revealed that country-pop sensation Taylor Swift should stop writing songs about her ex-boyfriends because it keeps dragging old news back into the public domain.

Referring to her new song 'Out Of The Woods', which is said to have been written about her relationship with One Direction's Harry Styles, Murs explained to Australian radio station 2DayFM that he wishes she would leave the heartthrob alone and would just find some new material to pen tracks about.

The hitmaker told the breakfast show: "Come on [Taylor], let it go. Write something new that isn't about Harry. Bless him, it's been like two years and he's still getting lashed out isn't he?"

Earlier this month, Swift opened up about the meaning behind her new song 'Out Of The Woods' and revealed that it is about a relationship, but didn't specify who inspired it: "It stresses that even if a relationship is breakable and fragile and full of anxiety, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t worthwhile, exciting, beautiful, and all the things that we look for."
