Olly Murs: 'One Direction is something that's never going to happen again'

Music mogul Simon Cowell was recently quizzed on the success of One Direction and confessed that he believes no other act from 'The X Factor' will ever be that big in the future.

Now, former 'X Factor' finalist Olly Murs has weighed in on Cowell's comments and agreed with his opinion, explaining to MTV News that the 'Steal My Girl' heartthrobs are definitely one-of-a-kind and their fame probably won't ever be equalled or rivalled by another act from the popular vocal talent show:

"I think with One Direction, it's something that's never going to happen again… I mean what they're achieving and what they're doing is ridiculous. There's always going to be other artists that are going to he hugely successful or massive but I think from the X Factor, Simon's right."

Murs, meanwhile, recently opened up about his own success to Britain's The Mirror newspaper and admitted that he never expected to get signed and to become a professional recording and performing artist:

"The X Factor was one of the best experiences of my life – it was full of happiness, laughter, tears, stress...I met some of the biggest stars in the world, like Whitney Houston and Robbie Williams. But when I got knocked out, all I wanted to do was go home and see my family. I’d missed my brother’s wedding the weekend before and I’d wanted to be there. I didn’t expect to get signed at all, but then two weeks later, I did."
