Olly Murs would 'definitely' collaborate with One Direction

Olly Murs says he would "100 per cent" write music with One Direction.

The singer has a strong bond with the pop group after touring together in the US.

When asked in a new interview with PopCrush if he would work with the boyband, Murs replied:

"Definitely! Yeah, I love the lads! You know, the boys are in the studio a lot more writing songs, I mean they’ve written on every album I think, anyway.

"I don’t know if people know that, but they’ve been writing ever since they did the first album. So I would 100 per cent write with the boys, I’d love to! I’d love to collaborate with Niall and the boys, do something crazy. They’re good mates of mine, so I’d definitely be up for it."

When told that One Direction show Murs' 'Troublemaker' video between sets on tour, the singer responded:

"That’s amazing! No, that’s really cool! Obviously we’re part of the same management, and to have the boys allow that to be on there is great, it means a lot.

"I remember doing the tour with them back in 2012 across the States and it was amazing. It was a real eye opener to how big this country is, but also how there’s so many fans out there, you know? My job as an artist is to try and get my music out there as far as it can go and try and win new fans over, and that tour definitely did that.

"But still, even now I’m really hungry to get more fans and One Direction are like… I think for everyone, well not everyone, but for me particularly, I really think they’re the benchmark in terms of how to smash it here in the U.S. in a big way. And you’re constantly trying to, you know, let’s keep going, let’s keep going, there’s fans out there, there are people that’ll buy your music you’ve just got to get them to hear it, and if I can do that then fingers crossed.

"That tour really started off my U.S. career in a big way, and I can’t thank them enough, really."
