Olly Murs confirms that he's in talks for 'X Factor' presenting job

Cheeky hitmaker Olly Murs has confirmed that he is in talks for a presenting job on 'The X Factor'.

Dermot O'Leary recently announced that he won't be returning to his role as host on the popular television talent show this winter, and Murs has now teased that he's had a few interesting conversations with music mogul Simon Cowell.

During an interview with Spin 103.8, the heartthrob admitted that while nothing has been set in stone, discussions about his involvement with the show have begun and he is interested:

"I haven't got it yet. We've spoken about it in the papers but nothing's been finalised or nothing's been signed. We've had had a few discussions, that's about it really. Me and Caroline (Flack) have obviously spoken about the idea of it, but like I say, it's just an idea at the moment, nothing's been finalised."

He went onto add that neither he or 'Xtra Factor' co-host Caroline Flack have been actively vying for O'Leary's job: "Me and Caroline we were never interested in taking Dermot's job, it was only, you know, Simon's idea of potentially having me and Caroline do it. I would never want to take Dermot's job because I love him so much and I wouldn't want to be compared to someone as good as him."
