Olly Murs on work ethic: 'I’ve always been a grafter'

Olly Murs has opened up about his strong work ethic.

The singer told The Telegraph that he has "never asked for money from anyone".

The Brit - who came second on the X Factor in 2009 - added that he is confused by today's generation of youths who seemingly don't want to work.

Murs said: "I’ve always been a grafter. I’ve never asked [for] money from anyone.

"I was doing two paper-rounds a day from the age of 13. I wanted to have new shoes and jeans and to smell nice. But I look at kids today, even my cousin for example, and they don’t want to work. I just can’t get my head around that.”

X Factor judge Louis Walsh meanwhile added: "When I look for someone who I think will succeed, it’s the hardest-working and the easiest to get on with.

"Talent you can grow; there’s not a lot you can do about attitude."
