Singer Olly Murs has revealed that his forthcoming new album is very personal and he did the decent thing of playing the songs about his split from Francesca Thomas to her first "out of respect". 

During an interview on Loose Women, the star explained that felt a sense of duty to play the songs to his ex-girlfriend privately before releasing them to the world so that she knew what to expect:

"I did play it to my girlfriend... out of respect and being a gentleman. I didn't want her to be out somewhere listening to the radio or hear it on TV. I wanted to speak to her about it and say, 'These are the songs.' I just played it to her in my car."

Murs went onto add that there are no bad feelings between them: "We're still friends, we get on great. She loved the songs and she wished me all the best."
