Olly Murs calls for Top Of The Pops to be brought back

Olly Murs is enjoying his role as a presenter on The Xtra Factor so much that he would like to continue his television career by bringing back a much-loved music show. 

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 'Heart Skips A Beat' star revealed that there is a place for Top Of The Pops in the current market and not only would he love to see it return, but he would like to host it too:

"I don't know why us artists haven't said, 'Let's back a campaign to bring it back' because it would be amazing. Except for Later With Jools Holland, there isn't one music show. If you had TOTP for artists across the board on Friday nights, I could host it! I'd love that."

Music mogul Simon Cowell has also expressed an interest in the possible resurrection of the once popular show, so Murs isn't alone in his plea to get it back on air. 

His new single, 'Dance With Me Tonight', is out today (November 20) and you can watch the video for it below:
