Olly Murs has opened up on his recent cameo for US TV series 90210.

The British singer appeared on the show to play himself as he looks to extend his brand deeper into the US.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Murs admitted that whilst it wasn't a big part, it has whet his appetite for acting. He said:

"It was good to be a part of that show and I get to play myself. They scripted a performance into the show and that's kinda what my role is - it's nothing amazing. I'm definitely not going win an Emmy for it! It's a great show for me to be a part of. Acting is something I would love to do in the future, but obviously I'm focused on music at the moment."

Olly Murs meanwhile is currently touring the UK on a headline arena jaunt, with Loveable Rogues as support.
