Olly Murs "honoured' by The Voice link

Olly Murs says he is flattered by reports suggesting that he is being considered to fill one of the vacant Voice UK coaching slots.

The BBC TV talent show is currently two coaches down after Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue jumped ship recently to concentrate on their music careers.

Speaking to Capital FM, Murs said that he appreciates the news linking him to one of the vacant seats - despite his history as an X Factor contestant and Xtra Factor host. He said:

"I was quite honoured [to read the stories] to be honest. It's a big job. Would I say no? I don't know. I haven't been offered anything. To be honest, I don't think it will be my decision. I think it will be more down to Simon [Cowell] and the X Factor's decision if they let me do it. I don't think I want Simon Cowell as an enemy – so I don't think that's probably going to happen."

Murs concluded, however, that he would "consider" any offer that did come on the table.
