Keven Jacobs Interview @KJMUSIC12

Tell us about yourself and your music? I am from San Antonio, Texas first and foremost i just turned 23 back in July i would say my style is more of a lyrical brand of hip hop with more of a east/west coast feel with it. I like to make my songs with an idea in mind and hoping that whoever listens can relate of at least get some sort of vibe with it.

How would you describe your sound? I would say much like a mac miller lyrical type of sound like its not trap music like most people in my area do. My style is really for anyone you can like lyrics and the beat and the vibe and its just relaxing something you can ride out to.

Talk about the experience making your single? My single pray was special to me because i got a chance to work with Choo Jackson who is signed to mac millers REMember label. I also love his work and being able to get him on track that ended up being one of the most popular songs on my project was really awesome.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows? I am working on some new songs in 2017 really looking at going harder with my music and videos to go with my existing songs. I have one single Piece of mind that is really special to me and even if my whole project is trash im hoping that one will open some eyes. i have some shows here in the city in march but until then its just grinding in the studio.

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far? By far, getting notice from Def Jam and working with Choo Jackson and other artists from around the country that want to make music with me anytime that happens its just awesome knowing that people ride with your sound.

Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)? Definitly mac miller or the weeknd for starters but i would like an mainstream like drake but at the end of the day i just want to make good music

Name something random that people do not know about you? I love to learn about history and learn about the past like anytime someone new tells me about their heritage it makes me wanna learn more.

What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry? That everyone is really out for themselves and in the end you have to have your team and really look out for your best interest i am always open to work with new people but you gotta do your research

What can we expect from you in the future? More good music another album by april and singles with many artists hopefully we make some noise in this coming year.

Be on the lookout for the new music:
