CD-RaM Interview and his new EP, “Diverse” – @CDRAMMUSIC

Tell us about yourself and your music?

I am an out going, highly energetic, wildly ambitious artist. Throughout my years i have experienced extreme highs and with all the positives i have also been through the lowest of lows. I have overcome so many obstacles and set backs in my life that I am beyond thankful to be where I am today, surrounded by positive people, vibes and in a positive mindset. My music is a representation of my life in it you can hear the story of my life from living lavish at the young age of 19 to losing all of it and being left with nothing, broke, lonely and somehow wrapped up in the drug game. You can hear the pain and sorrows i went through and with that you hear how I overcame all my struggles and got my act together on my own. I created a healthy, successful and positive life for myself.

How would you describe your sound?

My sounds is unique. It’s raw and genuine. I like to play with my voice a lot and as a result I come up with some really different tones. Raspy, high, low, I can do it all.

Talk about the experience making your single?

“My Party” is a hit single off my first album: Diverse. this was such a summer song, all the vibes were right making this song. high energy, fun, just overall an exciting song to come up with and record. I love to go out with my crew and make sure everyone surrounding me is having an amazing time. I’m all about positive vibes and this song along with the entire album is all about having a great time with the people you love by your side.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?

I recently finished my 2nd album and 2 music videos which is soon to release so be on the look out.
Currently I’m working on my third album which is half way done, I have plenty of new music and visuals on the way. The grind don’t stop. I’m doing what i love, so to me it’s work and pleasure all at the same time. my mind is constantly thinking of beats, lyrics and coming up with visions.. i spend at least 4 hours in the studio 5 times a week, i love making music, its a passion I’ve always had and to be able to have the resources and connections to really creates this projects is a huge blessing.

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?

Honestly to me there’s no better feeling then finishing a song and having it come out exactly how you visualized it. I love making music but I love listening to it more. Every time I record a new track it becomes my favorite song and I keep it on repeat until I record another one. as much as i am my own biggest critic i am also my own biggest fan. the simple things mean the most to me, the feeling of accomplishing a goal i have is the biggest highlight i have in my life, every time.

Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?

My favorite artist of all time gotta be Lil Wayne, so to do a collab with him would be and absolute honor and achievement. His creativity and flows are on another level. He has been an inspiration on mine my whole life, without a doubt. Right now my two favorite artist that are mainstream are definetely Young Thug, Kodak Black, and Drake in that order. They all just have their own lane, their own sound, their
own character and I fuck pride myself in all three of those characteristics.

Name something random that people do not know about you?

One thing not many people know about myself is that in actually extremely athletic, growing up i was always the star of the team. From baseball to football and track and field i give my all in everything the I do. i took home championships and gold medals like no other. aside from that i guess another thing about myself people don’t really expect or see much of is the softer side of me, I’m actually a really nice guy. What most people hear on my records is a tough, carless crazy guy but thats because I’ve been stabbed in the back so many times. I portray my real life emotions and events through my music, everything you hear and feel from me is 100 percent raw and real.

What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

Truthfully the most evident thing i have learned while on this journey is that its a harsh a lonely world, in this industry especially everyones trine make it so its every man for himself. unfortunately what I’ve come to realize is that its the homies and people you surround yourself with the most are the ones that couldn’t care less for you and really are only by your side when its convient for them and are only there for you incase you make it. it sucks but it has lit a fire in me thats can’t be stopped. I’m more motivated than i have ever been and i am thankful for the real ones I’ve got by my side, supporting me every step of the way.

What can we expect from you in the future?

More music, more projects, more CD-RaM.
