Tell us about yourself and your music?

Being Original Sparks Success. That's the aim and the acronym in the name. Beings are being other beings while being the being you are is most worth being.

How would you describe your sound?

My sound is Trop-Hop. The fusion of sounds i am most related to. Reggae, Pop, and HipHop. People were having varying views of my sound and born from that was the culmination of what were echoed most. Trop-Hop was the term my Booking Manager Qbwoy used to describe it for it never quite fit a direct lane.

Talk about the experience making your single?

The experience of making this single was very unique. It was the final recording of the entire EP. I often do a flaming 5 songs and a blazing bonus track for a sizzling 6-pack. The first single and recording (Mi Wan U) for the EP was produced by Jahboy Bailey. There was another beat he sent that I attempted to make "Follow Luv" to. My engineer thought the song I was creating far exceeded the production and actually aimed to craft a sound that would pair best with my contributions. At this time I was spending time with my ex girlfriend again after declaring we could never reconcile due to our vast differences. We've been so on and off during our dating history. This all culminated in the content and creation of this single.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows? I am currently working on my 4 Qrtrs Mixtape Music Series. Freestyling a b-mix (B.O.S.S. Remix) every #musicmonday to the instrumental of a popular song. Releasing the song every #freestylefriday for the entire 2018 Calendar Year. With the cover art from an amazing acrylic painter and fellow Caribbean @MeiMeiTattoo creating pieces of fine art based on each song. Followed by incredible dance interpretations of the songs by the Caribbean led @dancehallfunk fraternity of dancers. Colaborate with real artists to help showcase all of our artistic offerings in this era that craves content. Audio, Video, Photo. Every 3 months will mark a Quarter that will be bundled and promoted as one mixtape as well. So by the end of the year it's a complete 4 part series. We could then perform and present our collaborative works at art galleries throughout. Music released weekly, quarterly, yearly. Short-term, Mid-term, Long-term. Being Original Sparks Success!

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?

The biggest highlight in my music career thus far has been the Fall 2017 Southern California High School Tour I wrapped in December. Performing at 3-5 schools per week and connecting with audiences of various ages showing the music has a wide appeal. Displaying you don't have to be a sterotype to get the stereohyped. No drunkenness, smoke, drugs, meat, tattoos, piercings, censored music, arrests. I am anti.

Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?

My ideal collaboration could be Ed Sheeran. I think quite highly of him as an artist and human. Enjoy his content and his story. Plus the great duality of me being a black redhead and him a white redhead.

Name something random that people do not know about you?

Something random people do not know about me is I am an insomniac. I have a terrible relationship with sleep. I am constantly haunted by need to create, achieve, experience, succeed. I have always felt like there is so much in life I can be missing out on while sleeping. As a kid my mother even called me Nick at Night like the popular TV programming because of my lifelong insomnia and my name being Nico. Random?

What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

One thing I have learned while being in the indie music scene is having to rely on creativity more. Developing ways to do more with less. Which may lead to greater artistry and sustainability for problem-solving is tested greatly here. Gaining immense value on that journey.

What can we expect from you in the future?

In the future you can expect alot more content and creativity as I strongly believe I am one of the most talented, creative, caring, passionate, driven individuals in all the land. Being Original Sparks Success. And we are sparking. Stay Sparking.
