Boston’s Monahlyan Interview and Single, “Tell Me”

Check out Boston’s Monahlyan Interview and Single, “Tell Me” below!

Tell us about yourself and your music?

My ultimate goal is to make music full of funk and full of soul. If I don't feel an invisible or intangible energy, I know my job is not done. I gravitate towards house because I'm hyper and it makes me feel free and confident. I stick to R&B because that's how I get the fellas.  - No but seriously r&b is like my first language, I love to express my feminine side with a touch of sensuality.

How would you describe your sound?

Hypnotizing, sensual, passionate, positive, vintage,  strong.

Talk about the experience making your single?

When I heard the beat I immediately knew what I wanted to do with it. Melodies just started pouring out my head and the feel of the beat inspired the words, the topic.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?

I have numerous singles that I have been waiting to drop, and I have two music videos on deck.

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?

Performing at one of my favorite House music cubs in NYC, it's something small but the night felt special.

Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?

Sade, Phil Collin's, disclosure, black coffee, drake

Name something random that people do not know about you?

I love meditation and eating ice.

What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

Put your opinion about your own music, before any one else's. There have been many times where I would look validation from others, but I have learned it's all opinions  and nothing factual. If you want validation look with in yourself. You have to ask yourself-How do I feel?

What can we expect from you in the future?

More music, more visuals, more shows!
