The captivating Southern, rhythm & blues inspired stomper of a song was originally intended to be the lead single from the band’s latest album ‘Native’, but with Ryan wanting to ensure the chorus was perfect before unleashing it to the world, the track was put on hold allowing the award-winning hit-maker to add his finishing touches. Fresh from just being completed and with the final result making it well worth the wait, this is a track that you will you not be able to get out of your head this summer.
Last month saw OneRepublic perform at the Roundhouse and Royal Albert Hall as a part of their UK tour, finding time out of their back-to-back dates to take to the stage on The Voice (BBC) at the show’s semi-finals. The band released their debut album ‘Dreaming Out Loud’ in 2007, spawning worldwide hit ‘Apologize’ which reached number one in sixteen countries. 2013 saw the release of their third studio album ‘Native’ which debuted at number four on the US Billboard charts. The album’s lead single ‘Counting Stars’ became the band’s first UK number one, reaching the top spot twice and being named the ninth biggest selling single of last year. Outside of his frontman duties for OneRepublic, Ryan - recently named the 'Undercover King of Pop by Billboard magazine - has helped to craft huge hits for some of the world's biggest artists including Adele ('Rumour Has It'), Leona Lewis ('Bleeding Love'), Ellie Goulding ('Burn') and Beyonce ('Halo' and 'XO'), just to name a few.
