Oh Land to perform at Heaven Club February on 23 for NME Awards show

Fresh from supporting Katy Perry on her world tour, Oh Land is to return to the UK to perform at London’s Heaven nightclub on Thursday 23rd February.

The Danish singer has had a busy year since performing at Glastonbury in the UK last summer. As well as her top 20 debut album in the US, she has featured on the Gym Class Heroes song ‘Life Goes On’ and graced the pages of Vogue in both the UK and the US.

Oh Land is a hotly tipped act by NME and will play Heaven as part of the magazine’s NME Awards Show tour, supported by new UK act Alunageorge. She has previously graced the stages of Coachella, SXSW, and the Berlin Festival with her kooky style and unique sound.

Oh Land was born and bred on the outskirts of Copenhagen. A disciplined ballet dancer who was educated with the Royal Danish and Royal Swedish Ballet schools coupled with a “circus-like” upbringing courtesy of a family of creative souls.

Used to pushing the boundaries of her talent, Oh Land relocated to Brooklyn at the beginning of 2010 and has worked with Dan Carey (The Kills, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip) and Dave McCracken (Depeche Mode, Beyonce, AFI).

Critical acclaim for her shows, and a residency at New York’s intimate Charles Bank Gallery have had critics and fans raving, and now Oh Land is set to bring her ‘magnetic charisma’ back to the UK.
