Ozzy Osbourne was paid tribute to at this year's MTV EMAs.

The Black Sabbath singer picked up the Global Icon Award at the event at Glasgow's Hydro arena last night (November 9).

He was presented the award by guitarist Slash, who later took to the stage with his band and Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil to perform Osbourne's 1980 hit 'Crazy Train'.

Speaking before the show about the award, the metal star said: “I can’t believe it, it’s just incredible."

Wife and manager Sharon Osbourne added: "I’m so proud. It’s his night. I just want him to have the best time."

A slew of other acts were honoured at the ceremony, including One Direction, Katy Perry and host Nicki Minaj.
