Hayley Williams: "Maybe I'll just want to be a grandma"

Paramore's frontwoman, Hayley Williams took time out of the Reading Festival to talk to The Daily Star about the band's future, she said:

“I’ve always said I don’t want to be a ghost of my former self. I always want to be the best at whatever I’m doing right then. So when I’m that old maybe I’ll be better at something other than head-banging and pulling muscles in my back. Maybe I’ll just want to be a grandma.”

Paramore are co-headlining the Reading & Leeds Festival with Queens Of The Stone Age, in a collaboration which will see them swap the top slot across the two nights.

Williams doesn't mind sharing the headlining slot, as she doesn't think Paramore will ever be a headlining band:

“To be honest, we are never going to be the kind of band that feels we deserve the top slot.

“I think we are a great live band. We work really hard to be. We are still such big fans of so many bands, big and small, that it’s hard to imagine we are one of the ones who headline.”

The Reading Festival continues this weekend with Artic Monkeys, Disclosure and Blink-82 headlining the next two nights.
