Paramore: 'We feared that our fans would hate our cruise plans'

American rockers Paramore have confessed that announcing plans for their 'Parahoy!' cruise tour was intimidating because they worried it might annoy their fanbase.

The 'Still Into You' hitmakers are due to sail from Miami on March 7 for a 4-night at-sea adventure, which will see them performing and mingling with followers on board, and frontwoman Hayley Williams explained that they were intially concerned about how the news would be received:

"We didn’t want to come out in 2014 and do the same two or three tours we do every year. It never gets old, but we’d like to try something different."

Talking about how Paramore thought their fans might react, Williams added: "There’s no way any of our fans are going to be into this. They’re going to think we’re nuts and it’s something older people do."

"From the minute we announced it, it’s been incredible because so many people all over the world are trying to get tickets. They’re excited to come out and we’ve got all these amazing bands so we’re going to do it up."
