New website announces more acts at a growing Suffolk music festival

More big name acts have been announced at growing two day music festival to coincide with the launch of its brand new website.

Sudbury’s Live and Kicking, held in June at the MEL Group Stadium, is now in its fourth year and is expected to attract hundreds of people over the two days.

Ska legend Neville Staple – who enjoyed a number of top ten hits in the 1970s and 1980s with The Specials and Fun Boy Three – will be headlining the festival and it has now been confirmed he will joined by the some the UK’s top tribute acts. The acts include tributes to Oasis, Paul Weller and The Jam, The Stone Roses, The Commitments and Pink.

Festival organiser, Richard Instance, said: “Whilst we are delighted to have a true legend in Neville Staple performing we are really pleased with the other acts we have managed to book so far. The ones we have chosen really are some of the best tribute acts the UK can offer and people will love them, we are sure of that.

“We are still working very hard to complete the programme, and we are confident of announcing at least one more headline act and some other great support acts to appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds.”

Details of all the acts confirmed so far appear on the festival’s new website, which incorporates the events newly developed logo and design concept.

"The festival has grown significantly over the past four years and we thought it was time to develop our identity with a more striking and professional look which would be both eye-catching and embracing and we feel we have achieved that aim. The website looks great, is very easy to use, is full of lots of information and allows people to purchase tickets online with just a few clicks of a button,” added Mr Instance.

The two day festival, is being supported by the Sudbury Scooter Club and will host more than 15 musical acts over both days. On Saturday 22 June, a 10-hour music extravaganza will see musical acts from a wide range of genres - including the Neville Staple Band – perform.

The final day of the festival, on Sunday June 23, will feature a number of musical acts - including headline, local and tribute bands. There will also be a free children’s village which will include inflatables, lookalike characters, circus skills, balloon modeling, magic shows and children’s entertainers.
