Peter Andre has announced that he is engaged to girlfriend Emily MacDonagh.

The singer and reality TV man confirmed the news exclusively to OK! magazine.

He also showed off a photo of himself and his new fiancée holding onto their baby, who was born on January 7.

24-year-old MacDonagh said of the engagement: "He always said he'd like to do it before the baby was born and I just thought he'd do it after - I was happy, I didn't need a ring, but it was amazing."

Andre added: "She said 'Are you serious?' and burst into tears - it was so emotional. We lay down in the nursery for ages because it was such a special room to us."

Their baby girl meanwhile is Andre's third child, with the reality TV star dad to Junior, 8, and Princess, 6. Both the children are with former wife Katie Price.
