P!nk shows support for Australian homeless group

P!nk has given an Australian homeless group a boost by promoting their work in a new video.

The singer originally met the Youth Off The Streets community group - who help young people who may be troubled with homelessness - in 2009 on tour.

She reconnected with the group in Sydney in 2013 and she has now voiced one of their adverts.

P!nk has also granted the community group the licence to use her track 'The Great Escape'.

She told the Sydney Daily Telegraph: "When I was on the Funhouse Tour back in 2009 I read a story in the Sunday papers about Youth Off The Streets. I totally related to it because I could have been one of them.

"I first met some of these kids on that tour and when I came back last year I met more of them at my Sydney concerts. It made me want to further support this great organisation and give these kids a fighting chance."

Youth Off The Streets founder Chris Riley commented: "This campaign would not have been made without the support of Pink. She has been very generous with her time and has been a great inspiration and role model to the teenage girls in our programs."
