P!nk: 'I'm not worried about alienating fans with my new music as part of You + Me'

Superstar P!nk has just unveiled a brand new album, which is called 'Rose Ave.', as part of duo You + Me and she has revealed that while it's a completely new sound for her she thinks her fans will like it.

During a new interview with Billboard magazine, the songstress was asked if she's concerned that You + Me is likely to alienate fans and admitted that she thinks her following is very loyal so doesn't worry about that:

"I don't think about that stuff ever, ever. My fans are people that would follow me wherever I go. If I told them I was doing a f***ing jewellery line or a perfume, they'd go, 'Come on!' But this feels like something I'd do anyway. Whether it's Germany or Australia or Canada or South Africa or the US, they just want to feel something along with me."

She went onto add that musical diversity is something that has always interested her, so a project of this nature was always likely to be on the cards for her at some point: "I've always tried to do different kinds of things within an album; I've always been easily labeled as pop-whatever."

"This really was an opportunity to do something that I wanted to do instead of something I was obligated to do. No one was asking us to do this except each other. There was no record company saying, 'We're waiting for a record' or 'You should really do something like this.' It was just us being friends and loving each other and loving to sing."
