P!nk insists there is no bad blood between herself and Demi Lovato after she made critical comments about this year's MTV VMAs performances.

The singer took to her private Instagram account to state that she felt "embarrassed and sad" watching the apparently uninspiring music at the weekend.

She did, however, praise acts like Macklemore and The Weeknd - but some internet users took umbrage to P!nk leaving out Lovato, who performed alongside Iggy Azalea.

The US star later took to Twitter to insist there was no beef between herself and Lovato.

She wrote: "Please look for a feud elsewhere. I have no issue with Demi Lovato or anyone else. I actually forgot she performed. I have opinions. MANY.

"I stand by what I said. However, I didn't intend for the angry people of the world to latch on and make it into something it isn't. Peace."
