P!nk breaks Australian tour record with Melbourne venue dates

'Raise Your Glass' songstress P!nk has broken a record with her upcoming tour of Australia, it has been confirmed.

Although she won't perform in the country until next month, her Australian leg of the 'The Truth About Love' tour has now smashed a record after she recently added an 18th date at Melbourne's 15,000 capacity Rod Laver Arena.

P!nk set the record herself back in 2009 when she was touring her 'Funhouse' album, but with the incredible addition of an 18th concert at the well-known venue she has managed to keep it under her own name, but with even higher stakes.

Her forthcoming tour of the country has already shifted 500,000 tickets and Melbourne has accounted for more than 200,000 of them with its population of 4.25 million.

She will head down under for the first date on June 25 and will play shows around the country until September 5. Her Australian 'Funhouse' tour spanned 58 arena dates and shifted more than 650,000 tickets, which made her the first female solo artist to boast such phenomenal figures.
